The 'Providence 71' series is live!
My new series is live!
"How often has a book pushed you back in your seat like an accelerating car? ‘The Man from the Sky’ pulls of this trick neatly, shifting gears several times as it takes you places. You won’t end up where you thought you were heading. It’s quite a ride.
- Paul Rompaye
Reading this was like watching a movie!
I was intrigued when I saw the subtitle of hard science fiction plus western - a mix I have never encountered before. The world-building is very well done, and I had no difficulty figuring out what was happening.- Nadishka Aloysius
Think Louis L'Amour meets Stephen Baxter. There's a mysterious gunslinger, a daughter searching for answers to her fathers death, crooked politicians, honest lawmen, airship pirates and cyborgs all struggling to make a living on a distant world where the megafauna have a penchant for ripping off heads. The familiar tropes of the classic western are so cleverly woven through what is essentially a treatise on high gravity worlds.

Sci-Fi Short Short Fiction
I've very much enjoyed seeing all the art friends have been doing for Inktober these past couple of weeks. Feeling a bit left out, I decided to appropriate Inktober. I did a few short shorts using their prompts. Here are three.
I found it good practice trying to do little stories on limited time and at a high cadence. I've fallen behind but plan to catch up when I got a little more time. I'll probably release the lot as a collection on Amazon.
‘A Little Bit of Kali’
Two friends who are truly excellent writers have a new story out, about giant robots dueling in an underground fight club in Chennai (having briefly been an announcer for an underground fight club, I can say the captured the feel quite well, though ours was qiute tame and lacking in criminal nature...). The authors are Yudhanjaya Wijeratne and Ronnie Virdi and the story is A Little Bit of Kali, you can find it here in the new sci-fi collection 'The Expanding Universe 5.'
And that's it! Thank you for your time, and have a great weekend!
